Do they know it's christmas time at aaaaaaaaaall?
Good morning readers! C’est moi, getting back into the swing of blogging! Again, apologetic apologies for missing so many days!
So, I thought I’d catch you up on some of my life, purely because you’ve missed so much!
Today is shool Christmas dinner day- but am I having it? Mais Non! I am having a picnic with my bestie, Ebbz // Ebblar // Screblar (long story), so I am going to brimming full of party rings, jaffajaffaaaaa cakes, pringles, chocolately goodness. Mmmmm. Being healthy, we’re having fruit shoot. ;)
However, more excitingly, tomorrow is the last day of term- which means during the 2andabit hours we are freed to galivant around school, dancing and singing Wham and the likes at the top of our lungs, we're allowed to go OTT, major style. Tinsel, coloured tights, baubles, leg warmers, and most excitingly, glitterry shimmery goodness, in the form of wonderful makeup. We do have to remove it for final assembly, as my school is rather le strict on rules, it's definitely something to take advantage of! :')
Later, i think i'm going to get round to reviewing the Tangle Teezer, and Burt's Bees LipBalm trio :)
Have a good day!
Meet me under the mistletoe...
Mistletoe kisses! Eek!
Well, my lovely readers, who i have lately forsaken as i've had many many important matters to attend to (christmas concerts etc..and..well, i've got news!), so i've kind of skimped on posts:/ i'm really sorry about that! But yknow, sometimes life is just...obstructive.
So...what's changed?! Well, my room is finished! huzzah, hurrah and wonderment! It's all pretty and nice, and once i've sorted out my cameraaaa, i shall capture it's essence of joyous beauty etc! Plus, my christmas tree is up! It's all brown and gold and lovely, and the fairy looks ever so happy to be perched on top!
Hmm...what else was there? Oh yeah! His name is Henri. And well, yknow. oaieh;vivldzkjblwiaugfwlIUWFLAIVBLJBlkjbsfdlkjhrtuh he's lovely. He just came over for dinner with my family and it went really well!:O Then we sat and watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, so atm, i am just content.
SO, christmas eh? Well, so far this week, i have distributed among my nearest & dearest,
-a bottle of Barry M limited edition Lilac Foil Nail Polish
-2 tubes of maltesers
-1 toblerone
-1 Rimmel "Champagne Diamonds" single eyeshadow thing
-1 NYC City Quartet eyeshadow palette
-1 bottle of Avon's Viva Pink Nail Polish
-2x pretty bracelets
-1 tube of Collection 2000 Creampuff Matte Finish lipgloss
YAY! i've got so much more[to say, if every simple song i wrote for you, would take your breath away, i'd write it alllllllllllllll!] to give, so i'm rather excited!
But what have i recieved?! EEEK!
-Burt's Bees Lipbalm trio (review to come - RTC)
-Tangle Teezer Compact (RTC)
-gorgeous necklace from Lewis (boy best friend!)
-Christian Lacroix for Avon Nuit mini - bottle
- key ring
-charm bracelet avec a gorgeous snowflake charm
AND OMG OMG OMGO MGOMG OMGOMGOMG most excitingly- the No7 Mini Beautifier Kit (RTC right now...)
So- No7's Mini Beautifier Kit?
Well, the packaging is divine, literally, right up my street. It's kitschy, yet delicate and just gorgeous! I think i might have "Ahhhhhhhh"d when i saw it:') But what's inside is truly spectacular!
The three eyeshadow shades are what first caught my eye- Truffle, Innocence and Wheatsheaf. They are literally straight out of the Naked Palette, only much more shimmerry! Yay!
The box is fastened by a magnet, which is handy when you just need to fling it open and whack on some make-up!
The eyeshadows are super pigmented and blend really well. It's kind of like having 3 staple colours from the Naked Palette in a mini case. Also in the box:
- Two super lush eyeshadow brushes, which are lovely and spongy!
- No7 High Shine whisper mini- which is lipgloss, and has really sweet beige-y pink with pieces of gold shimmer, so all in all very gorgeous. Not sticky, and very flattering- may treat myself to a full size!
- Exclusive to the box, Bronze Shimmer Rollerball - which is very cute and goes on very nicely. The shimmer isn't quite my interpretation of bronze, but more a mushroom-y shimmer with bronze specks- but nonetheless, gorgeous!
- Mini No7 Mascara- Extravagant Lash i think- which i have a full size of. Considering using this for lower lashes due to the dinky, but usable wand
- For the size of the box, a huuuuuuge mirror! And unlike other makeup pallette's mirrors, its clean and looks all new and shiny. Hurrah!
So all in all, absoloutely, stunningly gorgeous! A nude makeup lovers dream come true! If you're stuck in last-minute makeup buys for that makeup lover in your life, as a christmas gift- i wholly recommend this. It's absoloutely gorgeous!

Remember, December...
Pinch punch first of the month!
OH! and it's december, ergo, crack open your advent calendars! Yay!
Well, sorry for the gap between posts, packing boxes has been manic! I shifted boxes literally full of my own weight in books and past Elle and Vogue magazines *blush* - my guilty pleasure is re-re-re-reading Vogue and Elle s...anywayyyyyyy,
I'm ill. Like full on sniffles, 10 tissues a minute, swollen glands and landing strip of red soreness beneath my nose :( Sad times. Due to this, and the fact i woke up this morning with a temperature of a rather high nature, i'm off school, packing boxes, resting and now, blogging!
As my pride screams to me to not post any pictures of me being in this sorry little state, i thought i'd discuss some other things which, to me are essentialful!
Today, i thought i'd ramble on about Eyebrows.
I can't remember who said it, but someone important definitely said at some point, that eyebrows are the frame of a woman's face. And although not the conventional picture frame styley, eyebrows are actually really important!
You can chose to have them plucked or waxed (or if you are of a brave / courageous nature, you could go for threading) , or you could pluck them yourself!
As my mum was a trained beautician, she's instructed me on the importance of good eyebrows:P but i tend to have them waxed, then pluck away zee strays as and when they appear. However, at the moment, i decided i was bored of my round arch-y eyebrows, and wanted to go more in the direction of this, squarer...think the gals in Pretty Little Liars, or Emma Watson-esque.
So this is what i'm going for ^^...but i'm currently in the untamed, Wolverine inspired stage, which i'm fine, as it contributes to wild, poorly look i'm currently sporting.
My relationship with my eyebrows has always been a little love-hate, so yknow. ANYWAY, choosing an eyebrow shape is basically all down to scientific thingymabobs.
You need to figure out your face shape and go from there- to read more on this, click here. I have deducted that my face is square (not literally, just check out the link to understand!:P) , meaning i basically have a square jawline...which i quite like! :')
So going from there, you just have to wait for your eyebrows to grow til their suitable for shaping!:)
One more thing- neverneverneverNEVER let anyone, or yourself, pluck or wax or thread from the top down! You have to shape from the bottom of the brow up.
So that concludes todays eyebrow raising (haha) post.
24 sleeps until christmas BTW eeeeeek!
Have a lovely day, gorgeous people!

Updown girl! ;)
Hair- down to there, down to where?! It starts by itself, weeell it starts by itself! I tell you, Glee reruns will be the death of me!:P
Anyway, i know i used uptown girl as my blog title the 'tother day, but i thought, theres enough uppity to go around!
So my project for today, was hair.
Updo? Downdo? Dye it blue?! ITS SO HARD TO BE A GIRL AND HAVE LONG HAIR aosijobsvnjdajk
Moving on, i googled celebrity updos, and i was agog. Woweeee, i mean, i don't have a personal stylist, but i'd LOVE for my hair to be like these...
I loooove how it can go from casual thrown up look, to just wow! Merrrhh, also, updos tend to look good with a fringe (or bangs depending on where you're from), so i'm considering buying one of those clip in bangs? Like llymlrs did...only not to fool my readers :P
So, opinions?! Favourite updos?
OH and this is a pet hate of mine:
la mushroom hairstyle. Mushroom colour- yes. Mushroom print- yes. Mushroom hair? NONONONONOONONONONONOONO. Basically, no.

smoke and mirrors
Well howdy there m'lovely lasses!
So today, as i've been busy with school, i thought i'd tackle an issue that i have with the glorious season of Winter. Yes, i love the scarves, mittens, hats, coats, boots etc etc, but the one thing i had above all things, is colds. i dislike the runny, sore nose, and on a shallower note, the red patches on my upper lip from constantly swiping at my nose with a kleenex. Eurgh. I went in search of an answer. I consulted my age old Beauty Book (published circa 1998), which, despite loving it most dearly, is severely outdated. It told me to find green foundation/ eyeshadow and put it on the red spot. I, being open minded, decided to try it this evening (you know those moods when you just fancy playing with makeup?! i was in one!:) ), then, in accordance with my book, i applied my foundation normally on top.
Oh dear oh dear.
I looked like a grinch//human hybrid. It was truly awful.
The lesson in this, was to never put anything green on your face to combat redness. I don't really mind if Diana used this trick on her wedding day, the method given was totally wrong.
So...how can we beat these red nosed days? (see what i did there? haha)
Answer is, we can't. We have to accept them as a part of out culture. However, it won't quite stop me from trying. So I turned to the trusty vaseline, the one with aloe vera, waited for it to soak in, and put on my foundation. However, there was an awful oily residue left on my skin, and it looked like i had serious upper lip-sweat issues. Eugh.
So i have settled at this conclusion- just putting foundation over the top will not, i repeat, will not work. However, a healthy slick of vaseline, followed, after about 15 minutes, with a dabble some loose powder, should do the jobby. YAYAY!
Anyway, moving on, i thought i'd give you the results of my oil experiment..DUN DUN DUUUUN!
So, today, i had to deal with the awful oily look of my hair, as i ran out of time to completely rinse it out this morning, so when i got home, the first thing i did was shampoo the bottom of my hair, where i'd put the oil. I dried it naturally, and...woah. Like, genuinely, this stuff is awesome. I've had minimum flyaways and my hair is super sleek. Awww, happy days!:') Changed my parting around a little earlier, as it's just something i do to pass the time, so i took some rather funny faced pictures in my jamas! (Winter= thermal, matching jamas. oooh yeah! smooooooth;)) SO, here are some of my...well, here are some!
Haha, enjoy! Enjoy the remainder of your Mondays ♥
Milk bottles..
Alas, no, dear readers, i am not referring to those odd but scrumptious little sweets.I'm referring to the colour of my skin this morning. Lookie look look look!
Please excuse the pose and the uniform...For some reason, my shirt looks blue? :$
ANWAY, this is me this morning. My hair was still wet from the washing out of the oil, so i thought i'd put my now sumptious barnet in a loose fatplait. Yes, fatplait - just a plait, that's fat Amen.
I'll post later once i've returned from schoolio!
Later m'lovelies!

Dawn of the...?
Good morning beautiful readers!
Again, the title has a hidden meaning..whew! It's like being in the Da Vinci code, on a lesser, less deadly and much less scary // daunting scale.
Anyway, my life, or at least my hair//make-up routine, are beginning to seem a little (dare I say it! haha) lacklustre.
I was watching St Trinians last night on the tellybox (anyone else tune in!? Aww, so much love for that film!), and my favourite scene in the entire film came on- The Makeover Scene. It's fantastic. I, personally, love it.
So there i was, my bowl of apple pie and ice cream in hand, and munching happily, in my rather mouselike manner, and BAM! There it was! The wake-up call i needed!
Lately, adventurous is the last word that comes to mind when i think of my day-to-day makeup. I'm not insinuating that i'm going to go out with power-pink lips and green mascara (as i only possess the first..thankfully?),however i am inspired!
I, secretly, loveloveloveLOVE the Posh Totties, and i'm going to try that one out! Just seeing the makeover scene made me remember the width and depth that can be explored in the world of makeup! And i'm rather tingly and excited now! YAY!
On another note, i'm just off to wash this oil out of my hair:) hopefully, fingers crossed, it'll turn out just as lush and soft as i'd hoped! I'll keep you posted (haha).
Just one last thing, i added a view-counter-y thing yesterday, and i'm so glad i did! It makes me so happy to know that someones read/reading my little blog! N'awww! Please don't hesitate to comment etc- much love!
Happy Monday!<3

Body Shop Monoi Miracle Oil
Not the most imaginative of titles, granted, however, i've just had a shower and combed my hair, and had a revelation.
I found some Spa Wisdom Body Shop Monoi Miracle Oil in my potions and whatnot cabinet today, and figured, hey, why not give it a go?
On the website, it claims the following: This fragrant oil is inspired by Polynesian spa rituals. It can be used as a body moisturiser, massage oil, bath oil or hair conditioner.

- For body, bath and hair
- Scent of gardenia and coconut
This fragrant oil is inspired by Polynesian spa rituals. It can be used as a body moisturiser, massage oil, bath oil or hair conditioner.
Well, i can certainly tell you, it smells very fresh and floral- so i'm definitely getting the Gardenia. Just saying, my product is quite old, so is called something slightly different, however, same product, same price etc, just from before they relaunched the product. I shampooed and conditioned my hair, then combed it through with a large tooth comb, then got a palmful of product (which is quite liquid, compared to the viscous substance i was expecting! good surprise though:)) and , for want of a better word, jujjed it through my hair. Just ran my fingers through it, to ensure that coverage was even etc.
I smell fantastic, as of this product. As my hairs still wet, i can't quite speak for it's results yet, but it certainly feels very silky and sleek..plus, no natural-dry frizz so far! Can't be going far wrong!
Concerning price, it can be seen quite pricey, at £10 a bottle, but it's one of those bottles that lasts for ages and ages and ages. My cousin bought a miniscule bottle of almond oil for her hair, at £16, and it's still going now..3 months on. So, buying a oil for your hair / body is quite a commitment as it's going to last an aaaage, so you best invest wisely (and like the smell). So far, i'm enjoying this greatly, and although i can't actually remember buying it (probably a present from yonks ago!:L), it's definitely worth the money, and the luxury smell and just velvet-y smooth feel of your hair will speak for itself! I'll post up my results tomorrow morning!
What's your favourite hair oil?! ♥
BTW, i'm aware hair oil has been around for donkeys yeaaars, but i'm just cottoning on now! And i'm glad i have! yum!
OH! If you want to check it out, click here. For those who are very Well, is it a highly rated product?! (don't worry, i am too..), it's 4.8 stars of 5. Need i say more?

beauty hit list 001

Please forgive the mysterious title, and multiple posts today, but i'm ill, bored and all fired up for a mega blogging sesh!
Anyway, 'xo' is basically my homage to gossip girl, who instantly fills my rather cotton woolly at present, mind with fashionistas, privilege and the love of my life, Ed Westwick. (I can dream eh?)
ANWAY! A few of my current major style crush's are as follows:
♥Mischa Barton
♥Blake Lively
♥Leighton Meester
Mischa Barton, for me, is just...wow.

♥I pulled this from Google Images, and O M G.
Starting from the left, the black-and-leopard ensemble makes me think of those edgy days when you just want to turn heads, and this definitely would do it. And the hat=yummy..although, possibly a little too Thompson & Tomson from TinTin for me, but the boots are a resounding yay.
The 2nd look (blazer, suede shorts, brogues and aviators) is so autumnal it hurts. All brown and pretty, its very scholarly come stylish - ScS?! New trend methinks!
Third outfit is very happy&hippy and i have a rather soft spot for it. Throughout summer, i went through a total hippy phase, which, although i think has passed, my soul still yearns for tie-dye. This answers my soul's call.. ;)
Finally, my favourite look overall, of the four, completely, utterly and irreversibly. Those suede shorts from the 2nd look, a creamy pink-ish colour pussybow blouse, and peep-toe brown leather wedges. iodoiaallAFVKJGIbuigjkf. This = love♥
This is before Blakey dyed her barnet a rosey-gold colour, which, although i adore, i always love her blonde, Cali-girl locks. Her style in this is flawless, all muted and understated, but a bit of extra pow in the tartan style tights. Oh Blake, where oh where did you get that coat..??
♥
Need i even say more?!
Why can't i just be you?! Jokes, but..seriously...i want need her wardrobe.
ooh! *confession time* on a day to day basis, i google image Leighton Meester to see what hairstyles she's rocking..for reference..
BTW pulled these image out of the metaphorical hat which is google images, i don't own these :)
Enjoy the rest of your sunday's m'lovelies!♥♥♥
Uptown Girl...bags?
Diclaimer - i don't have £300+ to spend on bags, this is just sharing with you lovely ladies my favourite bag trends for this season...i'll probably find a less bank-breaking version somewhere and post about it!
Juicy Couture Classically Couture Shoulder bag - ASOS - £308
This bag, for me, screams celebutante style. The bag is, in true JC form, stunning and versatile. Can't say much more, or i'll begin to drool...
Vivienne Westwood Leather Small Envelope bag - ASOS - £330
Vivienne, my love, you have done it again! Designed and produced something just so beautiful it brings tears to the eyes of the beholder. How very spectacular. I LOVE the use of the signature VW orb, although, the price...not so much...
Mulberry Bayswater Bengal Tiger, Oak - John Lewis - £1787
Ok, priciest of the bunch, but GASP, it's so beautiful! Look at the distressed chestnut colour leather, in the most stunning shape, but with a bang on trend twist..woah. Although, deep down, i'd rather spend my pennies (if i possessed such a plethora of pennies..), on Louis Vuitton, who is my favouritest bag brand ever. Ever. This Mulberry comes close. However, finding a close replication of this on the high street will be, dare i say it, too easy. Watch this space.
So there you have it, my pricey dream team of bags. One day... ;)
Sunday's child
Awww, look at this post title, all arty & pretentious:') bless! haha.
anyway, i'm poorly. sux2bmeh right? No! (the slang was to illustrate my point btw:P)
I'm obsessed with Charlene Soraia's cover of The Calling's Wherever You Will Go (aka the twinning's tea advert song!) and i bought it yesterday, and have already racked up like 30 plays...oh dear...
Also, i'm currently munching // slurping on some Ben & Jerry's cookie dough, which is one of my top ice creams of all time...mmm!
So, i'm currently in the proccess of trying to redecorate, and i reeeaaally want to get a nice blog title (like the pictures on Pearls and Poodles, Dizzybrunette3, or just some pretty type a la Sunday Girl or Viviana Does Makeup) so- readers few and far between, do you have advice for me? :)
The rest of my sunday will consist of me feeling sulky and sorry for myself (as, as stated, i'm poorly) and eating, watching some tellybox and obsessively checking the blogs of many many people.
I'm also eagerly awaiting the results of many-a-giveaway- exciting right?! Garrrr, should i jump on the bandwagon? They seem to bring in subscriber's and give an oppurtunity to brighten someone's day- yay or nay to the idea?!
On another note, i'm starting to really feel the amount of work it requires to move house (helping mam out is not something i begrudge, but yknow- schoolwork etc and packing will be quite a tense experience..) but i can't wait til everything's done! yay!
Also, on Friday and Thursday i was performing in the school production of a rather muddly and disturbing Dracula. I had really heavy makeup on, and i'm starting to get spots from the weight of it! Eughk! So i'm going to deeeeeep cleanse tonight...the lovely lassy who did my makeup for me (beauty blogger being done up by someone else? unheard of?! ;) :L) was lovely! She used some lovely colours on my eyes (all from the UD Naked Pallette - i'm sooo tempted to buy ASAP!) and on my lips, a No7 lipstick called Champagne - it was lovely and nude-ish, but i think that may've been because i was orange at the time.. -.- Anyway, the show went reaaaally well and i was sad to say my farewell's to my costume..however, i've now got my friday and tuesday nights back, and that feels goooood!
And that is todays post done!
