I know you're thinking WHERE IS LUCIANA? Answer is, i'm still here! For those who have just caught the LCblog train, i think i need to explain.
This blog was originally started for my namesake (Luciana) , but i thought it sounded a bit pretentious :L soooo! i'm going with one of my many pet names - Lila. As my last name begins with a C, i thought it'd be cute!:) LilaC - Lilac :L LOLLLLLz!
Anyway, i was doing makeup on the go today, and i overslept- major nono! Went in without any makeup on and felt like the walking dead. I've decided that i need a foundation with better coverage soon...my skin tone, with my current foundation, is still coming through- light freckles and red bits and all! I've found that the issue lies in the forumla- it's good, but a bit on the thin side, although it doesn't feel at all watery. It's a decidedly decent foundation (NYC something or other, in Ivory) for a low price (two or three ninety-nine) but i'm moving onto bigger, better things. Any recommendations?! I have pale skin with a kind of..bluey undertone- know what i mean? I also get quite purple rings under my eyes (boo hoo), so good coverage colour wise needed. Luckily, i have clear skin, i just want even skin! I'm impartial to powder, gel or liquid or whatever foundation- just need some help deciding! :)

I had exams today, serious zzzzz, but you just have to suck it up sometimes!
Anyway, when i got home i realised i don't have an exam tomorrow, meaning i can break down my revision so i actually get some free time tonight! It's fate- as i really wanted to post and review some new beauty products!
When i say new, i don't mean straight off the launch pad new, i mean, my new products!:)
Being a closet eyeliner addict (my NYResolution was to learn how to do winged eyeliner perfectly- so far, no hope!), and having no part time job, i simply can't afford to spend loads on eyeliner!
So, i compromised! I bought Collection 2000s liquid eyeliner pot.
In a nutshell, this eyeliner is very good. It doesn't dry out (likes some of the pens i have tried) and acommodates my rather...unconventional way of doing liquid eyeliner (i shall explain another time!)
Anyway, heres a picture of me posing ;)

GOOD MORNING BALTIMOOOOOOOOOOOORE!
If i hadn't a sore throat right now, i would wrench open my window and sing this song at the top of my lungs to the neighbours, birds, horses in the field and chickens who are clucking below (although the chicken should be in their pen. I'll chase them later...), because, it feels like a good morning!
I did my 5 step cure to the SNBs and i feel awesome! I washed my hair, using Head & Shoulders, because a) it smells yummy, b) i need to keep switching shampoos or my hair goes flat after a while and c) because i am a little susceptible to dandruff. No shame however, because i don't get it often at all...once every 6 or 7 weeks....it's really weird! If you do have dandruff, and want desperately to get rid of it- my advice would be to try a number of shampoos / conditioners. H&S works well for me, but cleansing masks for your hair sometimes work well, as dandruff is typically caused by a build up of hair products sticking to your head and causing this crazy embarrassing white flakes. If you get caught with dandruff, please put your hair up, and spare yourself the embarrassment of having to blame "having a taclum powder fight"...you would not believe the amount of times that has worked!
Anyway, for shampoo i used Timotei volume boosting something or other, for weak hair. I have thick, occasionally lustrous locks, so you squares out there may be wondering Why on earth does she need weak hair conditioner? Because it works wonders for my hair! With pricier brands like Toni & Guy and John Frieda, you should probably heed their instruction, but with Timotei, just do your thaaang! I leave Timotei in for upwards of 2 minutes, which makes my hair like liquid gold! Just less liquid. It feels sooooooooooo soft, and smells gorgeous. I only conditions the bottom like 10 inches or so of my hair, and i'll explain why another time, but this means that my Conditioners don't last for a very long time. However, that may just be me, using copious amounts- smack on the wrist for me!
Anyway, if you excuse the ramble, i thought i'd review something a bit different! So, last night after my shower, i felt the need to EXFOLIIIIIIIIISE and MOISTURIZEEEE (i'm aware these are spelt horrendously, but say them like a gospel preacher- cool, eh?). This is significant, i do not do this often- for i just fail to have the time / effort. But last night, i used Vaseline moisturising Oil with Cocoa butter. It smells lovely- a little like chocolate (duh:L), and goes on quite slick. It's absorbed pretty quickly which is a massive + ...It claims to "lock in moisture, and give the skin a natural, healthy glow". The 8-year-old in me screamed GLOW IN THE DARK, or at the very least a fairy shimmery aura, however this does neither. What it does do, is make my skin at least very soft and look very healthy. And i don't know how it does it, but there is a sort of glow- quite a feat for anything to do that to my snowy skin! My only issue is that i now have a spot of my right hand, and this only appeared after application, so maybe it's not especially kind to hands...however, it may just be a spot that has been waiting for its time to appear...so i'm unsure..I can't remember how much it was, but being Vaseline product, i can't imagine it breaking the bank...I'd definitely say that if you're looking for something unconventional and hydrating then this is definitely it. However, perhaps not a great Christmas present, because it could be er...misconcieved!

Sunday Night Blues
Put your hands up if you have the SNBs? me!me!me!
So i'm sat here, listening to Sara Bareilles - King of Anything, with that feeling. Like, the last night of a holiday, only on a lesser scale.
The SNBs plague the remaining 13% of my weekend, and truth be told, i'm looking for a picker-upper! So, here is the exclusive, and fool proof (well, me proof), ways to feel better when you just...(excuse the teen slang! ew!) CBA.
1- Take a shower, and wash your hair! Nothing makes me feel nicer than smelling good, and having silky, ready to be dried hair. OH! and use some seemingly fancy-schmany face scrub or mask (mine are M&S scrub :') and one of those 75p peel off masks from Superdrug..but feeling like your pampering yourself is a good feeling)
2- pluck those stray eyebrow hairs which you've been meaning to do. Just giving yourself time to sort out those rascals will make you feel better...just don't get to pluck-happy...we don't like eyebrows that are basically angular toothpicks.
3- paint your nails. Seen as i'm still stuck in school, i'm limited on what i can choose...the glam rock goddess within me dies a little when i have to choose my natural pink with gold flecks NYX polish over my black shinies, or my deep purple metallic..but hey ho! Just shaping and painting my nails increases my happiness by 10458994586739502491010395385321%
4- hot water bottle. mmmm! especially when it's cold outside, curling up with a book and a HWB makes me instantly happier.
5- call a good friend (my chosen victim will probably be Savannah..) and have a giggle. Nothing like being able to say "hey, remember when..." and then bursting into hysterics shortly after!
So, there you go! These tend to cheer me up anytime, when i can't go out and purchase myself some new perfume//makeup//bag//shoes//clothes...(yes, i get happier after buying something beautiful! but don't we all?) but, these are most appreciated on Sunday nights, when the world is weary, and a new week looms ahead. Kick back, relax and have a giggle!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Howdy! I've chosen this type today, because i quite like it! I used to have an old typewriter, which used to be my Dads, and i could spend hours typing out FWOgr;feo;groefiuaOSJKCJKWUIGTuihfd then handing it on to unsuspecting victims when they least expect it, telling them that it was Top Secret, and not to show anybody..hold the applause please!
Anyway, today, i'm having multiple storm cloud moments, for example, my love // hate relationship with my blog design..chic and oh-so-mono-chrome (pronounced oh-so-monoh-chrome! its more fun for me) or quirky yet hot to trot a la LLYMLRS, The Sunday Girl etc etc! So confusing! So, after much consideration, i will undergo major sorting of the layout..it's bugging me too much atm!
Besides this, i also have TONNES of revision! bleurgh! Remind me why i'm doing this again? Oh yeah. Funfunfun!
And finally, my issue of mega proportions is I just have so much to do today, and so very little time! Later is coming my bonfire outfit- my camera is being a bit silly of late- so once i get it uploaded, i shall post it! The Bonfire was good, thankyou, but fireworks tend to scare me a smidgen. It's just the
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!
Which is a little disconcerting, if you ask me! Anyway, revision is calling!

Baby you're a firework!
Hehe, hey there bloggers!
Happy 5th November, and sorry for skipping my daily post yesterday!
So today, i'll be revising, amongst other bits and pieces, and possibly going to a local fireworks display tonight, which i'm quite excited about! Unfortunately, i have to keep off the toffee apples due to my braces (yeah, i have braces! nothing new, but you can't see them well..as they're clear) , but fear not! I'll be just as comfortable lounging by a massive bonfire, roasting marshmallows and possibly seeing someone! (yessss, i got asked if i wanted to go and see him, which is great, because, yknow, he's nice)
However, i have more pressing issues to sort out! So, yesterday, my father (who lives in London) gave me a ring and said that next week, he's going to Washington and Would I like any yankee Cosmetics bringing back?
YESYESYESYESYESYES! So, i'm compiling a list of things! ATM, there are 2 essential products, but there are lots of other things which he can choose between to get me. I know it sounds spoilt, but this is a big thing! As a makeup addict, i know (and so does my dad) t hat american makeup is a BIG THING! So, my two ultimate things are : CG lashblast mascara and tarte amazonian clay blush in dollface..I'm enthralled by all the different CG lipglosses, so i may toy around with the idea! Any other things i should know about American slap? Let me know!
Also, i'll be posting a picture of my Bonfire night outfit later- i'll keep you posted!

DKNY red Delicious perfume!
OMG! First perfume review! Wow, now i'm nervous and excited!
Personally, i'm not one for commenting on the deep, cedar and vanilla tinted essences or notes of birch and elderberry and thyme or whatever, but i'll describe to you, how my nose interprets this scent!
I wear this most days, as it's quite light and fresh, and smells quite flowery and pretty. It's definitely a scent of nature, not vanilla-and-toffee-and-any-chemicals-we-could-get-our-hands-on. It's nice! I also like the bottle...truth be told, i buy perfume on 40% smell, and 60% bottle...i just like pretty things! I have a fixture with anything beautiful. So the apple-shape yet chrome and orange-red colour of the bottle says to me "Hey, i am modern and romantic, yet not trashy...like a Cecilia Ahern novel". Ergo, i like this greatly. My secret ambition is to have all of the DKNY delicious apple collection, but that's just a whimsical imagining.
Anyway, i shall leave you lovely people to blog surfing (blurfing? LOL) , I am going to kick back, and eat a cadbury's chocolate yoghurt. Ciaou!
